Professional Certificate in Fundamentals of Data Analysis
Students will learn industry tools such as SQL and Python to analyze big data and create dashboards and visualizations to share their findings. After completing this course, the students will be able to perform basic and intermediate-level analysis to gain insights from data and be competent in summarizing and presenting data and using descriptive models to uncover patterns from data.
In this course, students will learn the basic concept of quantitative approaches to computing mathematics. They will be able to acquire essential knowledge in mathematical concepts such as Number System, Set Theory and Logic, Matrices, Relations, Functions, Differentiation and Integration. Additionally, students will also learn basic concepts of database systems, data modeling techniques and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation. This course will also cover the fundamentals of python programming, and python applications for retrieving, transforming and visualizing data, and storytelling to support decision making using Python visualization packages. Last but not least, students will learn the principles of designing effective data visualization, and the guidelines for developing an impactful dashboard.

Project Duration

This course is designed for anyone that is keen to learn about data analysis and the use of appropriate tools and software to derive meaning insights for data and make critical business decisions. No prior knowledge in programing or any of the data analysis skills is assumed for this course.
